Audiovector unveils QR flagship loudspeaker

Audiovector has launched the QR7 loudspeaker, the brand’s new flagship of the QR series which is designed to deliver big and vibrant sound to make music listening fun.

Developed, engineered and handmade in Denmark, the QR 7 has a big, room-filling sound but is also an extremely refined loudspeaker. With a dynamic musical ability, the QR 7 features the latest technologies and innovations to deliver a powerful performance.

The new QR 7 features two 8” drivers and a newly developed crossover that come together to create a hyper-dynamic but neutral-sounding speaker with an open soundstage. It is a full 3-way system and has double Pure Piston bass units with sandwich membranes, a 6” midrange and the Audiovector fast and agile Air Motion Transformer tweeter.

It is easily driven thanks to its easy impedance load and high efficiency of 90.5dB.

A distinguishing feature of the loudspeaker is its in-house engineered drivers built by its best suppliers. This way, it ensures that it co-engineers its drive units in combination with its crossovers. The combination of low-hysteresis voice coil technology, large powerful magnets, rigid turbulence-suppressing baskets and sandwich membranes made from two layers of aluminium, allows Audiovector to create a richer, clearer and more vibrant sound.

The speaker’s braced enclosure is made from high-density hardwood HDF for the perfect combination of strength, low resonance and elegant aesthetics. The tweeter’s fascia plates are machined from a single piece of aerospace-grade aluminium. They are precision machined, glass blasted, brushed and then anodised in a tungsten titanium grey colour. The rose gold-plated dispersion mesh works as an S-Stop filter and improves driver integration.

The QR 7 matches the rest of the speakers in the QR Series. The QR Sub, QR Centre and the easily placed QR Wall can be added to provide a powerful home cinema system.

The QR 7 is available in White Silk, Dark Walnut or Black Piano with an RRP of £4,950 per pair.
