Basalte intros Ellie touch panel

Basalte has introduced the Ellie touch panel at Light+Building in Frankfurt.

The unit, shown at the exhibition that runs March 18 to 23, hosts Basalte Home, the new KNX visualisation by Basalte in an effort to provide easy access to lights, shades and music.

Ellie is designed for installation in main living areas and can acts as the go-to point for all home technology controls. This includes the control of lights, shades, scenes, music, HVAC, door phones and cameras.

The touchscreen has a slim design and a 5.5-in OLED touchscreen in full HD. It measures less than 1 cm thick when installed. Ellie is designed with the same finishes as the Basalte design switches and sockets, to blend into any décor.

Ellie shows the complete Basalte Home app, originating from the Basalte Core server to provide access to all controls in the house by touch. The panel can be customised by user and custom restrictions can be added.

The touchscreen is installed in a single gang European wall box. It is low voltage powered using Power-over-Ethernet and it communicates with Basalte Core over IP.

Basalte is demonstrating Ellie at Light+Building on stand 11.1 C06.
