Display solutions manufacturer, BenQ has unveiled the V7000i and V7050i, its new true 4K, HDR-PRO ultra-short throw laser TV projectors.
Featuring CinematicColour and Filmmaker Mode, the company claims that the projectors offer 1.3 times more colour volume than other laser TVs in the same class on the market across an image size greater than 100”.
With 8.3 million pixels, the 4K UHD image renders a projection with clarity and vivid colours for an impressive visual experience, even in a brightly lit room. Using BenQ’s exclusive CinematicColour technology, the display features rich colours and extremely fine gradients thanks to the 98% coverage of the super wide DCI-P3 colour space.
HDR-PRO adds to this, bringing HDR10 and HLG support and dynamic tone mapping which adjusts image contrast and brightness levels on the fly to reveal previously lost details in dark or shadowed areas while preventing bright areas from being overexposed.
Creating a true cinematic experience in the home, BenQ follows the UHD Alliance by adding Filmmaker Mode, optimised by CinematicColour, to enable the laser TV to display the movie or TV show precisely as the maker intended. These features work together to ensure images are rendered more accurately and delivered in the way originally intended.
For home cinema applications, the V7000i and V7050i can pair up with an external sound system via dual HDMI 2.0b and SPDIF ports. Utilising acoustic and psychoacoustic science to create an immersive soundscape, the treVolo-tuned 5Wx2 virtual surround stereo speakers with a tweeter and a woofer in the left/right cabinet delivers a punchy and powerful sound for speakers of that size.
With built-in Android TV, users have access to an extensive library of films, TV shows, games and sports. Content can be easily and quickly found through its intuitive user interface.
Housed in a compact and stylish case, the V7000i and V7050i projectors suit any décor style, taking up little space and eliminating the need for complicated wiring.
The projectors also feature an integrated automatic eye protection sensor, sunroof and dust-reducing louver design. Combined with easy-on-the-eye viewing, the brighter laser light source will last 20,000 hours.
Both the V7000i and V7050i are available now, priced at £3,499 / €3,799.
