Bowers & Wilkins launches 6th generation of 600 Series

Audio brand Bowers & Wilkins has introduced the sixth generation of its 600 Series.

With its latest take on its 600 Series speakers, B&W states it intends to make its technology available at an “accessible price point” for a broad audience. Cost-wise, this translates to prices starting at £399, ranging to £1,249 for its flagship model.

“The 600 Series is the perfect entry point into the Bowers & Wilkins high-fidelity audio experience,” commented Richard Campbell, chief revenue officer at Bowers & Wilkins.

The range comprises of four speakers (and matching subs) designed to bring performance upgrades on the 5th version of the series, and suit “vinyl enthusiasts as well as those looking to improve their 5.1 immersive surround sound experience.”

The new 600 Series introduces an updated version of its Decoupled Double Dome Tweeter technology to bring clearer and more accurate high-frequency performance and a new paper cone low-frequency drivers in the flagship 603 for improved bass response.

The updated series consists of:

•             603: The flagship and largest speaker in the series, a floor-standing speaker incorporating a Decoupled Double Dome tweeter, an FST midrange driver using the Continuum Cone, plus dual paper-cone bass drivers (£1,249)

•             606: For stand or bookshelf use, a compact speaker designed to deliver bass extension, combining the Decoupled Double Dome tweeter technology with 6.5-inch Continuum Cone (£549)

•             607: The smallest in the range, a compact stand/bookshelf speaker featuring a core 5-in Continuum Cone mid/bass driver (£399)

•             HTM6: A slim, dedicated centre channel speaker incorporating a Decoupled Double Dome tweeter plus dual 5-in Continuum Cone mid/bass drivers (£399)

•             ASW610XP, ASW610 and ASW608: Three subwoofers carried across from the previous 600 Series with updated finishes to match the latest range (£399, £499, £799)

The range is available in matte black or satin white.
