C Seed releases ’œworld’s largest 4K TV’

Spanning a huge 262 inches diagonally, Austrian-based manufacturer have released what they claim to be the “world’s largest 4K widescreen television.”

For occasions when owners aren’t in awe of their 4096 x 1716-pixel TV measuring almost 7 metres (that’s over 21 feet), the C Seed 262 can be concealed with a motorised fabric cover at the touch of a button.

The TV is available with its own built-in 4K media server, as well as ten integrated speakers (designed in collaboration with L-Acoustics) for creating a 7.1 or 9.1 cinema surround environment. Incorporating an almost bezel-less design, the TV only features a black bar (measuring 6.1 inches from the bottom) running the length of the screen.

The LED model offers 800 nits of brightness and a contrast ratio of 5.000:1. It also features three HDMI inputs and one HDMI output.

C Seed has become somewhat renowned as a manufacturer of large ultra high-end TVs over the years, and previously took home the Red Dot "Best of the Best 2012" design award after collaborating with Porsche Design on a pop-up, 201-in outdoor LED model.

The C Seed 262 TV is available now for a cool €490,000 (US $549,000) with extra costs for a built-in server, with installation of the hefty 798kg model priced at €35,000 (US$38,500).
