Crestron highlights remote upgrades at ISE 2018

At ISE 2018 last week, Crestron showcased the latest additions to its range of handheld remotes: the HR-310-I and TSR-310.

According to the home automation specialist, the HR-310-I handheld remote and TSR-310 handheld touchscreen remote have been designed to improve on both the functionality and ergonomic design of their predecessors. Both incorporate features including voice control, custom engravable buttons, movement sensor, profiles settings and multi-colour buttons.

“Our previous generation of HR and TSR handheld remotes was ergonomically designed and ultra-reliable, but we felt we could do even better,” commented Crestron’s director of residential technology, Doug Jacobson. “The HR-310-I and TSR-310 are Crestron handheld remotes reimagined.”

The HR-310-I features backlit tactile buttons; long battery life utilising standard AAA batteries; nine custom engravable buttons to display the most frequently used functions; and a Crestron infiNET EX wireless gateway.

The TSR-310 features a built-in 3-in touch screen display; stunning resolution; a rechargeable battery that lasts 3 – 4 days between charges; incredible processing power; WiFi connectivity for high-bandwidth communications; voice control; and a discreet charging station.

The HR-310-I will begin shipping this month, followed by the TSR-310 in Spring 2018, in the EMEA region.
