Dirac Live now available in mass market receivers

Swedish digital audio expert, Dirac has announced a partnership with Onkyo, Pioneer, Pioneer Elite, and Integra to bring Dirac Live room correction to companies’ newest line up of audio and video receivers.

The collaboration allows many more consumers to experience home theatre audio, something that was typically only available through higher-priced systems.

“Mainstream consumers are demanding premium audio more than ever before,” said Erik Rudolphi, Dirac’s VP of home and pro audio. “Onkyo, Pioneer, Pioneer Elite, and Integra recognise that the highest quality can be achieved through sophisticated room correction software like Dirac Live – which impacts sound quality even more than any hi-res audio format. In collaboration with four of the industry’s most iconic brands, Dirac is proving that the world’s best room correction software is not just for audiophiles, it’s for everyone.”

Regardless of an audio system’s performance, there are various factors that can affect sound, including a room’s size, shape, surfaces, furniture, etc, altering how sound waves travel and resulting in sound colourations. Dirac Live’s room correction feature works to prevent this by analysing a room’s speakers and acoustics to optimise sound quality with patented impulse response technology without requiring expensive acoustic treatments. It results in more balanced sound, enhanced clarity, improved intelligibility of vocals and music, and more accurate staging, all critical features for a premium home cinema experience.

Dirac Live’s room correction feature is now available in the new Onkyo TX-NR7100 and TX-RZ50; the new Pioneer Elite VSX-LX305 and Elite VSX-LX505; and the new Integra DRX-5.4 and DRX-3.4.
