At this week’s digital CES 2021, D-Link has unveiled its latest Wi-Fi 6, 5G, and 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet technology, designed to meet changing and growing consumer demands in the smart home and workspaces.
Highlighted by the global pandemic, D-Link has recognised the need to keep people connected around the globe using technology as well as ensuring homes are safe and secure while providing residents with remote leisure, learning and working facilities. The new launches from D-Link are designed to optimise the home network ecosystem to help people adapt to these changes.
DUB-E250
Named CES 2021 Innovation Award Honouree, D-Link has been previewing its new DUB-E250, a USB-C to 2.5G Ethernet Adapter, which is the smallest USB-C 2.5G Ethernet Adaptor on the market, according to the company. It enables 2.5 times the bandwidth of a Gigabit Ethernet connection and is fully backwards compatible with existing network equipment.

DMS-106XT
The new DMS-106XT, a Multi-Gigabit Unmanaged Switch, accelerates network efficiency and delivers uninterrupted online experiences. It includes 2.5G Ethernet ports and one 10G Ethernet port, allowing users to enjoy seamless HD streaming and gaming, while the 10G port connects to storage for quick backup or restoring of data.
Gamers can activate turbo mode for extremely low latency and high-quality streaming, while customised LED provides instant network feedback. The multi-gig ports are backwards compatible with existing cables and equipment, meaning it can be deployed where extra bandwidth is required without costly and time-consuming re-cabling or equipment replacement.
DCS-8635LH
In the smart home security space, D-Link has also unveiled the 2K QHD Pan and Zoom Outdoor Wi-Fi Camera (DSC-8635LH), providing precise and detailed surveillance to monitor and protect a home. IP-rated, the network camera offers 2K QHD resolution and 360-degree coverage using its motorised pan feature.
For complete protection, the camera includes advanced features such as person detection, facial recognition, auto motion tracking, glass break detection, and speaker siren to deter intruders.
DWA-X1850
D-Link’s AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 USB 3.0 Adaptor (DWA-X1850) delivers a fast, easy and affordable way for users to upgrade their computers with the latest wireless AX technology.
The adaptor can be plugged into a USB port to take advantage of secure, high-speed internet of up to 574 Mbps in the 2.4GHz band and 1200 Mbps in the 5GHz band. It also features WPA3 Wi-Fi encryption for optimal network and device protection.
DWR-2101 & DWR-978
The company’s 5G Wi-Fi 6 Mobile Hotspot (DWR-2101) and 5G AC2600 Wi-Fi Router (DWR-978) offer fast 5G connectivity either on the go or to the home or office.
