Sonos accessories brand Flexson has released a professional mount that supports the in-ceiling installation of select models, targeting retrofit projects with limited space and budgets.
The mount can install a Sonos Era 100/SL, Era Pro or Sonos One/One SL directly into the ceiling, ensuring flush installation along with what Flexson describes as plug-and-play functionality.
It’s intended to facilitate custom install (CI) projects that might otherwise be impractical, such as retrofits and apartments, where a conventional Sonos CI system requires not just a Sonos Amp but also passive ceiling speakers in each zone.
Director Mark Glen said: “Installers repeatedly tell us: clients love Sonos, but they don’t love seeing it.
“This mount lets the trade offer a true custom-install finish using the Sonos speakers their customers already know – and at a price point that opens in-ceiling audio to projects where an amp-and-passive-speaker system was never on the table.
“With Era 100 Pro and PoE it’s arguably the fastest in-ceiling audio install in the industry.”
Engineered specifically for Sonos hardware, the mount employs a cradle to hold the speaker inside the ceiling void.
It’s concealed behind a paintable grille, available with round or square bezel options, and comes with integrated cable management for a tidy finish.
Flexson says the mount also provides an attainable upgrade path for existing Sonos One and One SL owners, allowing them to achieve a similar custom-install aesthetic “at minimal extra cost”.
