DoorBird has announced that its D31x 5G range is now shipping across the EMEIA region.
The D31TDV 5G and D31TDH 5G models were introduced at ISE earlier this year and are described by DoorBird as the world's first IP video door stations with integrated 5G technology.
After deployment in selected pilot projects, customers in EMEIA can now purchase the systems as standard products. Meanwhile, availability in the United States is expected to follow shortly.
Sascha Keller, CEO of DoorBird, said: “At ISE 2026, we demonstrated that professional IP door communication no longer necessarily depends on a permanently installed network connection.
“Since then, we have completed the international certification processes and, with the pre-installed SIM card, created a global out-of-the-box cellular connectivity solution.
“With the start of regular shipments, this technology is now becoming available for widespread commercial deployment.”
The door station’s integrated 5G technology enables internet connectivity via cellular networks, which the company says “opens new possibilities for the digitalisation and modernisation of buildings.”
In existing buildings without hard-wired indoor stations, the D31x 5G models offer digital access management with minimal installation effort; they require just a power supply near the building entrance.
DoorBird, part of the ASSA ABLOY Group, says it has established international cellular and service agreements enabling operation in more than 200 countries and regions.
The IP video intercom systems of the D31x range have been developed for multi-tenant buildings, commercial properties and larger building complexes with up to 3,000 units.
5G can be used as the primary connection, but the systems can also be connected via LAN and Power over Ethernet. The cellular connection serves as an additional failover option.
