Habitech to introduce Ruckus Networks R750 access point at TechFest 10G

UK distributor, Habitech has announced it will be demonstrating Ruckus Networks’ R750 802.11ax indoor Wi-Fi Access Point to UK integrators at TechFest 10G at the end of the month.

Wi-Fi Certified 6 from the Wi-Fi Alliance, the R750 will support device speeds approaching four times that of its predecessor Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac).

Designed for both residential and commercial spaces, the Wi-Fi 6 protocol will accommodate many more devices simultaneously at speeds approaching 10 Gbps.

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) is used to organise traffic frequencies into subcarriers which in turn boosts network capacity. It also adds MU-MIMO support for simultaneous client data transmissions upstream to APs, as well as downstream to devices.

Both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands are supported, and maximum physical (PHY) data transfer speeds increase to 10G.

Leveraging the R750’s Wi-Fi 6 capabilities, integrators are able to build a future-proofed network capacity, improving the speed and integrity of simultaneous high density connectivity while integrating Wi-Fi Certified WPA3 security.

A dual-band, dual-concurrent Wi-Fi 6 AP, the Ruckus R750 offers eight spatial streams (4x4:4 in 5GHz, 4x4:4 in 2.4GHz), 3.5 Gbps total combined throughput and embedded Bluetooth Low Energy and Zigbee radios.

Enhanced Wi-Fi 6 features allow the R750 to also support 4K video streaming and AR/VR applications, as well as IoT sensors requiring low power and low latency.

At TechFest 10G, Ruckus Networks’ R750 Wi-Fi Certified 6 Access Point will be joined by Ruckus’ latest 10G switch range and other ultra-fast networking introductions.

TechFest 10G is being held in Basingstoke on 21-22 January.
