KEF & Terence Conran redesign LSX speaker resulting in LSX Soundwave

KEF has announced its new LSX Soundwave speaker by Terence Conran.

A complete redesign of the original, the LSX Soundwave is the perfect balance of form and function and combines the advanced design technology and the true wireless, high-resolution stereo experience of its predecessor.

Hence the name, the new design is inspired by the visualisation of sound waves, which is subtly designed into an exclusive fabric that wraps the shell of the LSX.

The partnership with Terence Conran continues KEF’s long tradition of design collaborations, having previously worked with the visionary designer on Ross Lovegrove on the ambitious Muon project and the creation of the original LSX was overseen by British designer Michael Young.

LSX Soundwave is a powerful but compact, wireless speaker which is easy to operate. The standout design highlights the Uni-Q tweeter and base in Conran’s trademark blue.

As with the original, the LSX Soundwave follows the award-winning LS50 Wireless and shares much of the acoustic engineering that has made that product famous within the audio community.

Although small, the LSX Soundwave contains high-end, onboard electronics and amplification that fills a room with rich and detailed sound.

The speaker can be placed on shelves or desktops, or it can be wall or stand mounted thanks to a range of accessory choices.

Being fully wireless both from the source and between the speakers, the LSX Soundwave has a fast and easy set up using the KEF Control app, which also manages feature updates via simple over-the-air downloads.

The speaker integrates with Spotify Connect, Apple Music and Tidal and also features Apple AirPlay 2 technology to enable multiroom streaming from an iPhone, iPad or Mac.
