LG introduces CineBeam 4K laser projectors to elevate home cinema experience

LG Electronics has unveiled its new CineBeam 4K laser projector models, HU715Q and HU710P, claiming to be the company’s most advanced home projectors to date.

The two UST projectors are designed for consumers who are looking to create a cinema space in their homes but can also be used outside when the sun has set.

The LG HU715Q Ultra Short Throw projector has the ability to create a 100” image when placed just 21.7cm away from the wall. The LG HU710P has a wheel-less hybrid laser capable of delivering brighter images and deeper blacks.

Both units deliver 4K resolution with 3,840 x 2,160 vibrant pixels. Thanks to this, the advanced laser technology in the new projectors delivers a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio and high peak brightness, revealing more details in both dark and bright scenes.

The new projectors both feature keystone correction with 4-, 9- and 15-point warping, allowing the models to provide easy horizontal and vertical alignment. This gives users more freedom and flexibility with projector placement without having to worry about distorting the image.

Model HU715Q generates 2,500 ANSI lumens with a laser light source while the HU710P delivers 2,000 ANSI lumens brightness via laser-LED hybrid technology. Both are rated for 20,000 hours of use, four times longer than conventional projector lamps.

A brightness optimiser is included in the new CineBeam projectors to adjust the brightness according to ambient light conditions. They both also feature Dynamic Tone Mapping which analyses and fine tunes each frame to support superior HDR performance for lifelike and vivid images, regardless of the content being played or light level in the room.

Filmmaker Mode displays movies the way the director intended, replicating the exact look and feel of a theatrical release by preserving the original aspect ratio, frame rate and colours.

LG’s webOS smart platform is included on both projectors, offering users intuitive controls and navigation with easy access to a wide range of popular streaming services including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, YouTube, and Apple TV.

The LG HU715Q model has built-in quad woofers and a 2.2-channel stereo to heighten the immersion and complements surround sound when connected to one or two Bluetooth speakers.

The LG CineBeam 4K laser projector models HU715Q and HU710P will be available in the first quarter of 2022 starting in the key markets of Europe, North America and Asia, followed by Middle East and Latin America.
