McIntosh has made a return to the custom installation market with a range of five new products at ISE 2019.
Celebrating 70 years in the home entertainment and audio market, McIntosh showed its recently announced 70th anniversary range of amplifiers. The MC2152 70th Anniversary Vacuum Tube Amplifier and the C70 70th Anniversary Vacuum Tube Preamplifier were both shown alongside the XRT1.1K loudspeaker, a scaled down version of the £137,500 XRT2.1K.
Also on display, McIntosh demonstrated the four-channel MI254 Power Amplifier (250W into 8 Ohms) and the eight-channel MI128 Power Amplifier (120W), the company’s new distribution amplifiers. Designed for home cinema speakers, the Class D amplifiers

McIntosh also launched three new CI speakers at the show: the WS500 and WS300 In-Wall Speakers as well as the CS200 In-Ceiling Speaker. All three speakers are voice matched to each other for seamless integration. The WS500 and WS300 are three-way speakers and can be modified to both two-channel and multi-channel needs.
Commenting on the new McIntosh CI range of Distribution Amplifiers and In-Wall & In-Ceiling Speakers, Charlie Randall, McIntosh president and CEO said: “We are excited to return to the custom install category with these new amplifiers and speakers. Many of our traditional home audio products have been used for distributed audio applications by talented CI installers. We are happy to once again offer products specifically designed for custom installation.”
