Marking three years of close collaboration, LG and Meridian have released the latest in its LG x Meridian audio line up.
The partnership was originally formed to enable Meridian to apply the 40+ years of audio engineering expertise and psychoacoustic research into mass consumer products, bringing the Meridian experience to more people around the world.
Several new LG products have applied Meridian’s unique approach to audio reproduction which has been combined with LG’s innovative design, including the LG TONE Free wireless earbuds, LG SN Soundbars, and LG XBOOM GO PL Series.

LG TONE Free wireless earbuds
The new LG TONE Free wireless earbuds come in two models – the HBS-FN6 and HBS-FN4. They are the first TWS product (True Wireless Stereo) to include Meridian HSP (Headphone Spatial Processing), a technology included within some of Meridian’s own audio products.
Delivering a listening experience that has rich bass and crystal-clear midrange and treble, the earbuds create a realistic soundstage that simulates the experience of listening to real loudspeakers.
Developed by Meridian, both models feature customised EQ settings, with each mode offering a tailored listening experience through four unique presets, including Natural, Immersive, Bass Boost, and Treble Boost, depending on the user’s preferences or choice of listening material.
Using Meridian’s advanced tuning, the LG TONE Free wireless earbuds deliver premium audio that supports fast charging, giving them six hours of use on a full charge and up to one hour from just five minutes of charging.
LG SN Soundbars
The six new 2020 LG soundbar models include SN11, SN10, SN9, SN8, SN7, and SN7C. They all deliver rich, true-to-life sound thanks to Meridian’s tuning and on-board technology.
In Meridian-tuned ‘Standard’ mode, Image Elevation, a technology used in Meridian’s in-wall loudspeakers, ensures a more lifelike listening experience by elevating the perceived height of lead instruments and vocals, which is especially important for soundbars positioned below a screen. Meridian’s Bass and Space technology is also used to boost low frequency reproduction and naturally widens the soundstage.
The soundbars have built-in AI Room Calibration which produces more optimised audio by assessing the dimensions of a given space and adjusting sound accordingly, as well as creating sound that appears to originate from multiple directions.
An advanced processing algorithm is also included which upscales conventional file formats to near-studio quality.
LG XBOOM GO PL Series
The LG XBOOM GO PL Series is the latest addition to LG’s XBOOM GO portable Bluetooth speaker line up. The three new models consist of the PL7, PL5 and PL2. They feature integrated Meridian tuning for enhanced bass and clear vocals for exceptional listening on the go.
The PL5 and PL7 models feature integrated Dual Action Bass which naturally extends the bass, while the PL7 speaker also feature dual tweeters to enhance the detail across higher frequencies.
To complement the audio, the XBOOM GO PL Series also produces pluses of LED light in sync with the speed and beat of the audio, adding a unique visual element to the sound experience.
