BenQ has announced the CinePrime HT5550, a new 4K DLP projector capable of precisely replicating 4K UHD HDR movies.
The latest addition to BenQ’s home cinema portfolio, the projector uses BenQ’s HDR-PRO and CinematicColour DCI-P3 technologies to achieve a picture as the director intended.
Delivering true 4K performance with 3840x2160 resolution and 8.3 million distinct pixels for each frame, the HT5550 CinePrime projector utilises a 4K-optimised optical system with six structures groups of all-glass lens elements for brilliant light transmission and ultimate image quality.
Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI)’s DCI-P3 wide colour range standard has been combined with real 4K resolution to give the best quality picture when watching the latest 4K Blu-rays.
Supporting both HDR10 and HLG formats, the projector uses BenQ’s flagship HDR-PRO technology, incorporating auto colour and tone mapping techniques to offer superior brightness and contrast ranges.
The CinePrime HT5550 4K UHD HDR projector will be available from BenQ’s website and exclusive distributor SnapAV from April 16.
