LG has unveiled the new TWINWash, a smart washer and dryer set with voice assistant capability at CES 2019.
The TWINWash, which is a 2019 CES Innovation Award winner, is compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa using Wi-Fi and LG’s SmartThinQ technology to enable the operator to use voice commands or a smartphone app to have full control of the machines.
The Smart Pairing function in the dryer suggests the most optimal setting for drying, saving the user having to do it manually. The washer can also do two loads at once with the main washer handling the larger load while a smaller load or more delicate clothing is done in a separate load below the main washer. The dryer also has capabilities to do a third load with a low temperature.
“Our TWINWash demonstrates LG’s innovation to laundry care that is constantly evolving to provide even more convenience,” said Song Dae-hyun, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. “By constantly enhancing our core technologies, we will continue to deliver intelligent products that make life easier.”
