Savant has announced the release of version 8.8 of its home automation software, bringing more personalisation options into the home.
Savant states that products and features introduced as part of the software rollout have been created to “enhance functionality” for users by creating a more “intuitive smart home environment” that brings value to the integrator.
Part of Savant’s IP Audio device range, Savant Music 2.0 sees the introduction of its music server experience designed to improve speed, navigation, preset recall and queuing. Control screens on the app have been redesigned as part of Music 2.0 to aid how users navigate their music. An equalizer screen has also been introduced for adjusting sound whilst using supported devices. Support for major streaming services like Spotify, Pandora, Deezer and others is included too, in addition to AirPlay and Plex (locally stored music).
Savant Pro 8 App for iOS now features a new design for entertainment services as part of the update. Control screens in the app for cable, satellite, streaming video service and more now include access to commonly used controls (such as volume and mute). Newly introduced configurable button trays also allow end users to quickly modify button layouts in order to highlight their favourite command, with more brand icons for smart TVs and entertainment devices are available too. The 8.8 update also features a home selector view to aid users with multiple Savant homes.
The manufacturer’s TrueImage interface has furthermore been updated to cover include white temperature settings for specific and popular colour temperatures, ranging from 2700K to 6000k. Additional new functionality encompasses the ability to recall favorite colours presets and color combinations, as well as a colour selection tool for Savant Smart Bulb and Strips. Additionally, a slider interface allows users to select exact RGB values to achieve their preferred colour for their environment. TrueImage is now supported on the Savant Pro Remote, allowing lighting control to be accessed directly from their home control touch screen.
