Sony brings the party as portable SRS-XV800 speaker launches

Sony has announced the SRS-XV800 speaker that features “omni-directional party sound” powered by five tweeters and “punchy bass”.

Tweeters are located at the front and rear of the unit while bass is delivered through X-Balanced speaker units that feature a diaphragm in an almost rectangular shape to increase sound pressure and reduce distortion.

Its built-in battery delivers up to 25 hours of listening time, while a quick charging function can deliver three hours of playing time from 10 minutes of charging.

Built-in wheels and a handle make sure the speaker is portable, while its lights automatically sync to the beat and rhythm of the music playing.

A combination of TV sound and the SRS-XV800's two rear tweeters and X-Balanced speaker units support TV viewing by enhancing the deep bass and realistic high-frequencies.

The SRS-XV800 also features karaoke and guitar input, an illuminated touch panel, water resistant IPX4 rating and Bluetooth Fast Pair for Android. It is compatible with Sony | Music Center and Fiestable apps. A recycled plastic developed for Sony is partially used for the body of the SRS-XV800.

Available for purchase in Europe from May 2023, Sony estimates a retail price of £599 / €699.
