SurgeX announces control platform drivers for Squid power management system

SurgeX has launched third-party control platform drivers for Crestron, Control4 and Extron to support the integration of its multi-functional Squid power management system into residential and commercial AV applications.

Squid combines surge protection technology with remote analytics and power management into a unique, compact unit.

The new drivers will allow Squid to be seamlessly integrated into some of the most popular control systems to deliver the full functionality of the product in a clear and accessible command structure. This includes complete power management capabilities, such as outlet switching, sequencing, scheduling, auto-ping, IP Control, and also energy monitoring and status feedback.

SurgeX’s director of sales for EMEA, Justin Peyton, said: “We’re excited to bring this range of driver to market and make life even easier for integrators. Squid already provides a professional, intelligent and versatile power foundation that saves installation time and space by combining both AC and DC outlets with Multi-Stage surge protection, power conditioning, power management and analytical software. Now, it can be fully integrated to deliver its extensive feature-rich performance through the popular Crestron, Control4 and Extron platforms.”
