Theory Audio Design launches new architectural speaker & accessories

Audio specialists, Theory Audio Design has introduced its iw25 high performance in-wall loudspeaker, the first of many architectural products to be announced by the company this year.

The new iw25 is designed to give dealers a premium loudspeaker option for discreet surround sound and distributed audio installations.

Launched alongside the iw25, Theory has also introduced the sb Tabletop Stand and sb25 Universal Mount Adapter accessories, to allow integrators to easily mount the sb25 multipurpose loudspeaker and soundbars.

sb Tabletop Stand

The new products released join Theory’s existing product line which consists of three high output soundbars, a multi-use surface mount speaker, two subwoofer models, and the ALC-1809 Amplified Loudspeaker Controller, all offering advantages of professional audio products but with sonic delicacy, detail and resolution of high-end hifi loudspeakers.

Featuring 1.4” advanced polymer compression driver and dual 5” carbon fibre woofers, the iw25 delivers 117db of output, enabling homeowners to have a completely invisible cinema-calibre surround system set up.

In distributed systems, the iw25 can scale to foreground music levels for parties or gaming systems. For the largest distributed installations, the iw25 includes switch-selectable 70V/100v transformer which can be driven direct by Theory’s forthcoming ALM 10-channel Dante/AES67 enabled loudspeaker controllers.

Iw25 can also be used outdoors with an all-weather optional grille.
