Wolf Cinema has announced the release of its TXF Theatre Extreme 4K projector series, featuring a flagship laser 4K projector.
The TXF Theatre Extreme 4K series incorporates models TXF-900, TXF-1400, TXF-2000 and TXF-5000, all suited to on home cinema screens up to 5 metres in width.
The line sees the manufacturer add a native 4K laser/phosphor three-chip D-ILA model to its offerings, which can be used as stand-alone imaging platforms or paired with two Wolf Cinema external 4K video processors. The flagship TXF-5000 model incorporates 48 Blu-escent laser diodes ensuring a lifespan of 20,000 hours.
Each edition in the TXF series incorporates full 18Gbps Ultra HD HDMI 2.0 inputs with HDCP 2.2 compatibility — with up to 4K60 4:4:4 sources – in addition to offering significant increases in peak white performance over earlier editions (up to 3200 ANSI lumens). The range furthermore provides full HDR10 imaging compatibility, multiple VariScope aspect ratio memories, custom factory gamut and gamma calibrations to achieve the BT.709 and Digital Cinema Initiative (DCI) colour gamut and over 80% of the ultra-wide BT.2020 colour space, housed in an all-metal chassis for improved thermal coefficients.
The all-glass, 18-element precision primary optics package facilitates lens shift of ±100% vertical, ±43% horizontal for installation flexibility.
Wolf Cinema will showcase its TXF-900 and TXF-5000 projectors at CES 2017 at the Venetian demo suite #29-103. The event runs from January 5 to 8, 2017 at the Las Vegas Convention Centre in Las Vegas.
