Sonos has made its highly anticipated entry into the headphones market with the launch of the Sonos Ace.
Aiming to change the personal listening category, Sonos is using its audio and design expertise to transform the way we listen through headphones.
Sonos Ace are over-the-ear Bluetooth headphones that feature lossless and spatial audio, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Aware Mode.
The new headphones allow film lovers to watch their favourite movies and enjoy a surround sound home theatre experience while ensuring the rest of the household is quiet. The TV audio can be swapped from a compatible Sonos soundbar to the Sonos Ace with the tap of a button to allow spatial audio with Dolby Atmos to fill the headphones. It also features dynamic head tracking to ensure the sound is always coming from the right directions.
It also introduces an immersive home cinema experience thanks to Sonos’ new TrueCinema technology, which is coming later this year. The technology will precisely map the space then renders a complete surround sound system for a realistic listening experience.
The headphones have 30 hours battery life, with ultra-fast charging to allow minimum downtime. Users can get three hours of battery life from just a three-minute charge using the USB-C cable included with the headphones.
Sonos Ace uses lightweight materials with a slim profile and sleek matte finish to create a comfortable listening experience. It also features a fold flat design that fits into its lightweight travel case to make transportation easy.
Sonos Ace will be available globally from 5 June in Black and Soft White priced at £449/$449.
