BenQ unveils dedicated gaming projector with a 4LED light source

The X3000i is the latest projector from BenQ, designed specifically to bring a first-class audio-visual performance to gamers on a grand projected scale.

According to the company, the X3000i is the world’s first gaming projector to use a 4LED light source. Paired with auto colour calibration, the 4LED light source will provide over 30,000 hours or 10+ years of vibrant colours and high gaming quality without needing to replace the lamp.

Thanks to BenQ’s exclusive CinematicColor technology, gamers can expect scenes with 100% DCI-P3 wide colour gamut coverage.

To create an immersive gaming experience, the X3000i features authentic colours balanced with true 4K UHD, high 3000 ANSI lumens visual brightness, crisp 500,000:1 super high contrast with Dynamic Black algorithms, 3D readiness, and projector optimised HDR with HDR10 / HLG support to ensure a futureproof visual performance.

This is all combined with the lag-free control that comes from the 4ms response time at 240Hz frame rate.

Complementing the visual performance, the X3000i also features audio enhancements with two 5W stereo speakers that are tuned by BenQ’s treVolo audio team and enhanced by Bongiovo DSP with Dynamic Stereo Enhancement to offer aural details with more immersive gaming sounds. Audio can also be output to an external sound system via HDMI eARC for a cinematic experience.

Three dedicated game modes are preset to optimise the gaming experience. Full Cinematic Immersion for RPG allows users to explore rich details as well as fully experience the subtelty and intensity of the virtual world with powerful orchestral music and deep full bass. FPS Mode reveals enemies hiding in the shadows thanks to its refined details, while enhanced virtual surround stereo locates gunshots, explosions, and approaching footsteps to warn of threats. SPG Mode is ideal for sports, with realistic green grass, diverse skin tones, vibrant uniforms and accentuated details to complement the announcer’s voice and roar of the crowd.

The X3000i has setup flexibility of 1.3x zoom, 2D keystone, and advanced AV connectivity to suit gamers’ needs.

Available this month, the BenQ X3000i is open to pre-order now for £1,699 / $1,999.
