Estelon has advanced its sculptural four-way speaker with engineering changes that put acoustics more firmly in the service of artistic intent.
The audio brand’s Forza Ultra model introduces new Accuton drivers, a redesigned crossover network, Estelon’s proprietary connector system, and Stillpoints Ultra standard SS V2 isolation.
The speaker builds on Estelon's existing Forza platform, which sits among the company's high-end products known for sculptural cabinet designs and advanced driver technologies.
Alfred Vassilkov, co-founder and chief designer of Estelon, said: “Music carries memory and human expression. Our work is to protect those qualities as the signal moves through the loudspeaker.”
He explained the engineering changes aim to draw less attention to the loudspeaker itself, facilitating a “more immediate” connection between listener and performance.
The speaker houses a bespoke four-way Accuton driver array, supported by Estelon’s Symmetric Driver Loading technology for more controlled bass performance.
A new 190mm midwoofer and 90mm midrange driver employ Accuton’s Crystalid membrane technology to enhance speed, reduce distortion, and improve tonal accuracy.
Accuton’s latest 25mm diamond tweeter completes the revisions, extending frequency response to 60kHz in a design intended for precise imaging.
The redesigned crossover is optimised for this new driver array, with tuning focused on elements like phase coherence and time alignment.
Housed in acoustically isolated chambers to minimise vibration, the network also incorporates Estelon’s Flat Foil Direct Coupling architecture.
According to Estelon, this shortens signal paths and eliminates conventional PCB materials from the audio path.
Estelon’s spring-loaded terminals handle signal transfer alongside a direct copper foil ribbon connection, with support for banana plugs, spades, bare wire and bi-wiring.
Stillpoints Ultra SS V2 isolators are supplied as standard to provide a stable foundation for the speaker.
Estelon says their ceramic bearing system dissipates vibrational energy and reduces the transfer of micro-vibrations between the 150kg cabinet and floor.
Further refinements include the cabinet’s sculpted profile and a new protective grille for the midrange driver. Bespoke colours are available on request.
German driver specialist Accuton is widely used in high-end loudspeaker designs, distinctive for its ceramic and diamond diaphragm technologies.
