New JBL Cove range delivers whole-home audio with scalable connectivity

JBL has unveiled a new WiFi audio system that simplifies and expands what's possible with whole-home listening.

Consisting of three wireless speakers, the JBL Cove range can operate individually, as stereo pairs, or as part of a connected multiroom system via the JBL One app.

The lineup starts with the JBL Cove M1, a compact design for everyday listening, followed by the battery-powered P1 model featuring Dolby Atmos Sound.

At the top of the range, the flagship X1 also employs Atmos alongside four tweeters and dual woofers.

Collectively, they offer room-by-room listening without requiring users to regroup or reset speakers.

The range comes with JBL’s proprietary Constant Sound Field, automatic self-tuning and AI Sound Boost technologies to optimise performance around how users listen.

The Cove speakers also work with JBL Bar Series MK2 soundbars, expanding entertainment options from music through to cinema; in the JBL One app, they can be added to the soundbar as the rear channels for a Dolby Atmos home theatre setup.

Meanwhile, the proprietary Music Follows Me feature available via the Moment button allows users to transport their playlist or TV audio with them without the need for a phone or app.

The range offers high-res support and connectivity across Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Qubz Connect, and more.

The JBL Cove family was launched alongside CEDIA Expo 2026, where JBL showcased the platform to the residential technology industry.
