Bundl launches DIY AV and control kits for high-end rooms

US startup Bundl has launched a new line of pro-grade AV and control kits aimed at consumers, raising important questions for the residential installation sector.

The company enters the market by positioning itself as a solution for consumers who “dream big”, but often feel overwhelmed by the hardware and configuration required.

Bundl says its mission is to bring technology “once reserved for Fortune 500 companies and elite entertainment spaces” into homes through simplified, all-in-one packages. This encompasses 120-inch home theatres, immersive gaming suites and more.

Bundl Kits are headlining the launch, combining curated devices, touchscreens, cables, accessories and guided setup instructions.

They’re sourced from brands typically used in enterprise boardrooms, government agencies and studio-grade environments.

According to the company, these kits offer results that previously required skilled installers and significant labour.

Bundl is also introducing Bundl Basics, a range of plug-and-play accessories designed for quick upgrades to home offices, cinemas and gaming spaces.

Although US-centric, the announcement highlights a global interest in self-built high-end spaces often inspired by YouTube tours and online culture.

But as the technology landscape shifts, it also illuminates how custom integration is increasingly valued by long-term maintenance, updates and troubleshooting.
