UK distributor Henley Audio will roll out Pro-Ject’s Stereo Box E, an amplifier with an array of source and connectivity options, as part of the product’s global reach.
Available as a standalone product, the Stereo Box E enters sits beneath the MaiA S3 integrated amplifier in Pro-Ject’s electronics range. The amplifier is inspired by higher-end products within the Pro-Ject range, creating low-noise with 21W per-channel output benefits from a low-noise design and a dedicated subwoofer output.
A built-in headphone amplifier brings privacy to desktop environments or late-night listening. The addition of a 5V/1A USB C power output allows users to integrate modern streamers into the system without having to run multiple power cables.
Elsewhere the optical and coaxial S/PDIF inputs allow for connectivity to digital sources, such as streamers or CD transports, benefiting from the built-in high-resolution DAC. The Stereo Box E supports a range of source devices: it has an aptX HD-compatible Bluetooth 5.0 input option for wireless streaming, built-in moving magnet (MM) phono stage for turntables, and RCA or 3.5mm jack inputs for traditional analogue sources.
The circuitry within the Stereo Box E is designed for hi-fi stereo enjoyment, complete with fully analogue pre- and power-amplifier stages.
