THX has added a new audio architecture to its Spatial Audio technology.
The AV certification specialist introduces THX Spatial Audio+, a setup designed for audio accuracy and immersive realism in gaming, movies and music.
Developed from the THX Spatial Audio technology, it can add height channels to the immersion and camera-based AI head tracking among other capabilities.

Spatial Audio+ is founded on physics-based room simulation and includes a spatial engine designed for over-the-air updates to support emerging audio formats.
These features span 7.1.4, parametric EQ, intelligent audio optimisation and more.
Alongside its Head Related Transfer Function (HRTF), the technology can deliver a three-dimensional sound field over stereo speakers on consumer electronics such as laptops.
Tuyen Pham said that research indicates consumers are seeking entertainment with lifelike audio and emotional realism.
