Record WOW!house audience highlights growing role of residential technology

Visits to UK design showcase WOW!house have more than tripled since its 2022 launch, underlining growing engagement between the design community and professional smart home sector.

According to the WOW!house 2026 Impact Report, visitor numbers rose from 7,395 in 2022 to 24,933 in 2026.

The event also delivered 120 million in PR reach, 22% year-on-year media growth, 110 international features, 350 media and influencer visits, and more than 6 million in influencer reach.

The figures point to a wider shift in the interiors market, with smart home technology positioned as an integral part of premium residential design.

CEDIA integrator members worked with participating designers throughout the showhouse to create spaces where technology supported the design intent; solutions included architectural lighting, human-centric illumination, concealed audio, immersive sound, video-led features, automation and intelligent control.

Andrea Harvey, director of design and build outreach at CEDIA, said: “WOW!house represents the very best of what our industry can achieve through collaboration, bringing together visionary designers, leading brands and expert integrators to create truly immersive and inspiring spaces.

“We’re delighted to have helped champion the role of professional smart home integration within luxury interior design.”

Now in its fifth consecutive year, WOW!house 2026 took place at the Design Centre in Chelsea Harbour, London from June 2 to July 2.
