LG’s newest OLED evo TVs are engineered to enhance the viewing experience through self-lit picture quality, an AI-driven processor, and an upgraded webOS platform.
The LG OLED evo G4 Series of products offers a choice of five screen sizes: 97-in, 83-in, 77-in, 65-in and 55-in. The LG OLED evo C4 series of TVs offers a choice of six screen sizes: 83-in, 77-in, 65-in, 55-in, 48-in and 42-in.
The G4 TVs are equipped with the new α (Alpha) 11 AI processor, which aims to provide an improved graphics performance and processing speed compared to its predecessor. The OLED evo G4 series also features the company’s Brightness Booster Max technology that LG claims to increase peak brightness by up to 150%, magnifying the glow of each pixel via LG’s Micro Lense Array technology.
The LG OLED evo C4 series is powered by the α9 AI Processor, Gen7. The C4s are also equipped with LG’s Brightness Boosting technology. The OLED evo C4 features an upgraded ultra-slim industrial design to help the OLED TVs blend into a variety of home settings. LG’s newest OLED TVs incorporate the company’s AI upscaling that utilise pixel-level image analysis to sharpen objects and backgrounds that may appear blurry. The AI processors aim to refine colours by analysing frequently used shades. The TVs’ Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro splits pictures into blocks and fine-tunes the image by analysing variations in brightness where light enters the scene.
Other technologies built into the LG evo G4 and C4 OLED TVs include several gaming-friendly processing features such as 4K 144Hz refresh rates and HDMI 2.1 inputs. The TVs also come with Game Optimiser that lets gamers switch between display presets designed for different gaming genres, and through these technologies the TVs support NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible and AMD FreeSync to attempt to stop immersion-breaking tearing and stuttering.
LG’s webOS smart TV platform supports streaming services. Through the company’s smart services users can create up to 10 individual profiles to tailor their individual experience to their specific preferences. LG’s latest smart TVs also recognises users’ voices based on profiles and offer personalised recommendations by interpreting patterns from usage history.
