NAD introduces latest BluOS streaming amplifier that just needs speakers

The NAD Masters M10 V3 BluOS Streaming Amplifier is the latest innovation from NAD Electronics, combining a sophisticated network streamer and powerful 100W per channel amp in one intuitive package.

Keeping much of the same functionality of the original and V2, the V3 improves on the platform with the addition of NAD’s new BC1 IR remote control, support for optional Dirac Live Bass Control, a phono input (MM), and an upgrade DAC.

Like its predecessors, the M10 V3 is designed to ‘just add speakers’, allowing users to connect their favourite pair of speakers to the audiophile-grade speaker terminals or pairing two additional wireless BluOS-enabled rear speakers for a Dolby Digital 4.0, 4.1, or 4.2 channel surround sound system.

The Hybrid Digital amplifier, based on NCore class-D circuitry, is conservatively rated to deliver 100 watts per channel. The unit’s DAC chip has also been upgraded to the ESS Sabre ES9039, providing higher dynamic range, lower noise, and more detail. The M10 V3 can stream lossless and high-resolution audio and has full MQA hardware decoding and rendering capabilities.

A variety of control options are available with the new M10 V3, including a new remote control. Using the BluOS app, users can play their favourite music up to hi-res 24bit/192kHz from streaming services, as well as files stored on USB and network drives, using a smartphone, tablet, or PC. The M10 V3 supports AirPlay 2, enabling users to stream music from an iPhone, iPad or iTunes library directly. It also supports Spotify Connect and TIDAL Connect and is Roon Ready. Other streaming services are supported directly within the BluOS app, including Amazon Music Ultra HD, TIDAL Max, Deezer, Qobuz and many others.

As well as its streaming capabilities, the amplifier has a line-level analogue input and MM phono stage, along with optical and coaxial digital inputs, HDMI eARC, and USB Type A inputs to enable connections to disc players, game consoles, external drives, media adapters, flat-panel displays, and other components. It also features bidirectional aptX HD Bluetooth.

A colour touchscreen display allows users to choose tracks, select sources, adjust the volume and other settings. The supplied remote control lets users adjust volume, skip tracks, and activate preset commands.

The M10 V3 is compatible with the Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri digital voice assistants, and can be integrated into Apple, Control4, Crestron, Lutron and other control and automation ecosystems to control music playback along with other home systems.
