Panasonic Industry has introduced a new wireless voice smoke alarm featuring five types of voice message to warn users about a fire.
The notifications, available in nine languages, include updates about the device’s status such as an absent wireless connection or low battery in the case of a fault. An LED pathfinder is embedded to light the room and support smooth evacuation in the case of a fire, while the long battery life guarantees operation of up to ten years.
Wireless range is up to 100m and the audible signal peaks at 85 decibels over 3m. The alarm has a low profile of 31mm and small diameter of 100mm to enable integration in any living space, with the option to interconnect up to 15 units across the home.
Speaking for Panasonic Industry, Kodai Yamamoto said: “Panasonic has been providing fire alarm products for the residential market for over 50 years and benefits from a lot of expertise.
“We are very pleased to be able to introduce a reliable smoke alarm into Europe, which is developed and produced under Japanese quality. We hope this new product will provide better safety to many families in the region.”
