CEDIA has recognised three longstanding figures from the residential technology industry with its 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award and Fellow honours.
The association is recognising careers marked by innovation, leadership and service as part of this year’s Smart Home Awards celebrations.
Danish audio entrepreneur Peter Lyngdorf has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for establishing brands like Steinway Lyngdorf, Lyngdorf Audio and DALI, as well as co-founding amplifier and transducer specialist Purifi.
Lyngdorf has also been involved in developments including Equibit digital amplification and RoomPerfect room correction, technologies that have influenced residential audio and cinema systems.
Elsewhere in the honours, CEDIA has named Dave Tkachuk and Gordon van Zuiden as 2026 Fellows.

Tkachuk has worked across residential and commercial AV design since 1981 and made significant contributions to industry standards.
He co-chaired the CTA/CEDIA working group that developed the AV Architectural Drawing Symbols Standard ANSI J-STD-710, and has since served in multiple CEDIA committee and volunteer roles.
Van Zuiden, founder of network-focused integrator cyberManor, has been a prominent advocate for IP-based home technology.
He served as CEDIA Technology Council chairman and a board member, while developing training and certification programmes around digital home networking.
The recipients will be recognised at CEDIA's 2026 Smart Home Awards global ceremonies.
