UK distributor aims to inspire the interior design world with the flawless integration of technology and décor…
Today the demand by homeowners for robust Ethernet and wireless networks is at an all-time high, making the transfer of data for audio, video and control as essential to the successful functionality of building design as the provision of heat, light and power. Now more than ever there is a need for closer and earlier collaboration between the architectural/design community and custom integrators. Accordingly, Habitech is raising the visibility of CI at the heart of the interior design industry by taking stand C70 at Decorex, the UK’s most prominent forum for the exchange of interiors products and ideas.
With brands including Sonance, Wall-Smart and Trufig, Habitech will demonstrate that the objectives of interior design and custom integration are now indivisible. Its new product line-up offers a way to coordinate speakers, power sockets, light switches, HVAC and touch panels precisely with room décor. By applying finely engineered treatments and techniques, the hardware so reviled by interior design pros becomes a perfectly bespoke feature, inordinately more desirable and valuable to the Decorex audience and its customers.
Habitech’s stand will host the new Sonance Architectural Series speakers, which offer a unique bezel-free flush-grille ceiling installation, eliminating the presence of shadow lines to achieve a flawless surface uniformity. Available in round or square versions for harmony with light fittings, the super-compact 3.5†and 6.5†satellites are joined by matching in-ceiling subwoofers, generating full-range sound from a virtually invisible source. When installed the 3.5†speakers will be indistinguishable from standard down-lights, creating an impeccable aesthetic result.
In order to facilitate a seamless surface blend, Sonance provides a plaster-board former with integral speaker bracket accommodating protective pop-out plates for easy skimming, sanding and painting.
Wall-Smart’s mounting system makes iPads, iPods and a wide range of control, lighting and air-conditioning keypads and touchscreens disappear in the wall. It offers completely flush, paintable and accessible mounts, custom-made for iOS, Crestron, Control4, Philips Dynalite, NuVo, Sonance, Savant, RTI, Luton Homeworks, Rako and others.
Established in 2009 by Sonance parent company Dana Innovations, Trufig applies the principles of concealment at the highest level for the most discriminating clients. At Decorex, Habitech will be showing Trufig treatments for iPad, Lutron, Crestron, HVAC and Sonance Architectural and Invisible Series speakers.
Commenting, Habitech MD Jonathan Pengilley said “We’ve made the investment at Decorex because we can offer a range of products that changes the way interior designers think about technology. It gives us the opportunity to explore the mutual benefits that flow from the flawless integration of technology with room design.â€
Decorex runs from 21-24 September at Syon Park, London.
