OneAV has partnered with Hero Labs to distribute Sonic, a smart water monitor with integrated shut-off.
Based in the UK, Hero Labs’ mission is to solve real-life problems with smart technology. Sonic, which was recently awarded a highly commended accolade at the CEDIA awards, uses ultrasonic technology to monitor water usage within a property, detect leaks and shut-off water through an integrated ball valve.
This partnership means that distributor, OneAV will be providing the solution to its network of custom install dealers, as well as comprehensive training for Sonic which will be delivered in person or via its online webinar platform.
Fitted directly to the water mains, Sonic uses advanced AI algorithms to understand the water-usage habits of users, tracking the difference between normal water use and harmful water leaks. It can detect even minute flows of water and identify appliances connected to the plumbing network.
An open API architecture and built-in Control4 SDDP makes it easy to integrate Sonic into a full home control system.
