Honeywell (Booth No. 260) will highlight its newest connected home technologies, including:
* Tuxedo Touchâ„¢ with Voice: Voice command capabilities turn the home of the future into the home of the present with Honeywell’s latest version of Tuxedo Touch. It responds to simple speech commands—literally giving homeowners a voice by enabling convenient, hands-free operation. By simply saying “Hello Tuxedo†and using select, built-in commands like “Wake Up†or “Bedtime,†they can control security, lights, locks and save energy without having to lift a finger. It also features video viewing and recording capabilities. Tuxedo Touch is an excellent way for custom electronics professionals to expand their offerings—combining a brilliant, 7†touchscreen and automation controller into one easy-to-use unit.
* LYNX Touch 7000: Honeywell’s all-in-one home security and automation system supports video viewing right on its dynamic, 7†full-color touchscreen—letting custom electronics professionals sell up to four cameras on every single installation and providing homeowners with a great user experience right out of the box. New lifestyle and control features add greater dimension to the connected home by making it “smarter.†For example, it can be programmed to trigger scenes to occur at dusk and dawn, taking into account seasonal changes in sunrise and sunset. LYNX Touch 7000 can control everything from lights and thermostats as well as provide garage door notification and tornado alerts. When paired with Z-Wave® sensors, it can close main water valves when water is detected – potentially averting and minimizing the damages and costs associated with flooding.
* VISTA® Automation Module (VAM): The easy-to-install device allows installers to create connected homes for the millions of consumers already using a Honeywell VISTA security system. VAM transforms new and existing VISTA panels into low-cost automation systems—offering local control of security, cameras, lights, locks and thermostats on smart devices. It supports up to 232 Z-Wave devices and 32 cameras.
* Embedded NVR Kits: Honeywell’s embedded network video recorder (NVR) gives homeowners more options for upgrading their surveillance systems. The NVR comes with four ball or bullet cameras in ready-to-install kits, ideal for smaller installations and users interested in affordable ways to upgrade to high-quality, end-to-end IP video systems. Additional features include Power-over-Ethernet for simplified installation and programmable e-mail alerts to alert homeowners of motion detection.
