Installers and industry experts alike filled the conference space at Runnymede-on-Thames Hotel in Surrey for Invision’s Smart Home Innovation Conference 2018.
The one-day event offered the opportunity for attendees to listen to manufacturers discuss key points of discussion in the current CI landscape, as well as see exclusive product previews and network with industry peers.
Talks on the day included RTI CEO, Ed McConaghay, discussing the customisation of control systems and how to retain your brand and identity, Jason Hill, group vice president at LILIN highlighting the growing importance of cyber security issues and the effervescent Dave Donald, worldwide brand ambassador at Origin Acoustics, sharing his views on selling to homeowners and voice-controlled distributed audio systems.
“The first Smart Home Innovation Conference was an impressive gathering of the UK integrator community. The presentations were interesting and relevant, and shed light on some important topics in our industry today,” commented McConaghay of RTI.
He continued: The active participation by the dealers who attended was a rewarding confirmation of their thirst for more knowledge.”
Invision will be holding a second Smart Home Innovation Conference in Manchester later on in the year, with further details to be confirmed soon.
