KNX showcases members’ work with ’˜KNX Project Platform’

The KNX Association has announced the launch of its KNX Project Platform, designed to showcase smart home and building projects completed by the organisation’s members around the globe.

Introduced to be a “central point” for KNX installations, system integrators, developers and architects can all use the platform to present details and images of projects to the public.

“KNX projects demonstrate how increasingly complex trades can be automated in public and commercial buildings with impressive results,” commented Franz Kammerl, president of the KNX Association, on why they have introduced the project showcase.

“This is yet another added value of our new platform. It brings interested parties and system integrators together and thus ultimately results in new KNX projects,” added Kammerl.

The KNX Project Platform is available in six different languages (English, Dutch, French, Germany, Italian and Spanish), and addresses KNX projects of all types and sizes.

Over 500 KNX projects have been published to date on the website, each of which provides an overview of the most important parts of the install and the contact details of the project manager involved. Projects can be located through a search criteria allowing users to browse by industry sector (i.e. residential/commercial), project name, year of completion and location.

Project managers are able to upload full documentation and publish videos of their projects to give interested parties an even better understanding of installations.

Integrators will also be able to upload details such as their ‘KNX Project file’ for private consultation from their MyKNX account.
