L-Acoustics is set to demonstrate new products, including the new LC16D network converter in its ‘Listening Lounge’ and modern living room area at ISE 2024 in Hall 2 at booth 2G500.
The Hall 2 booth will host demonstrations of new products aimed at the luxury installation market. The new products have been designed to bring L-Acoustics professional audio sound to home customers.
L-Acoustics will have two demonstration areas to showcase both stereo and immersive multi-channel solutions that are geared toward residential integrators. One space is designed to feel like a modern home living room and will feature two zones of stereo audio using different combinations of the latest in-wall and on-wall L-Acoustics loudspeakers and amplified controllers.
The second space will be a ‘Listening Lounge’, showcasing how L-Acoustics can be used in media rooms and dedicated home cinemas. This area will feature a Dolby Atmos sound system using L-Acoustics in-wall Soka colinear loudspeaker, ultra-compact SB10r in-wall subwoofers and discreet X4i loudspeakers for surround and height channels in a 7.1.4 configuration. This will be driven by a digital front end using the new LC16D network converter and LA7.16i 16-channel amplified controller. L-Acoustics will be supported with products from Barco Residential, Stewart Filmsceen, Kaleidescape, MadVR, Display Technologies and Storm Audio to showcase this media room environment.
The in-wall Soka is an ultra-shallow colinear loudspeaker just 99mm deep with a variety of mounting options and paintable or RAL-matched grilles to create a seamless flush fit with minimal influence on interior design. Soka’s colinear array driver configuration, derived from L-Acoustics renowned expertise in professional line-array technology, integrates nine 3.5-in MF drivers and three 1-in HF transducers to impart a wide 140-degree horizontal sound field coupled with a controlled vertical dispersion.
Despite its size, Soka delivers 124 dB over a bandwidth that extends down to 70 Hz when used with the full range preset. Using the SPL preset, Soka offers 130 dB down to 100 Hz, where the compact SB10r in-wall subwoofer extends the low-frequency response of the systems to 25Hz. The SB10r is offered with kits to mount in-wall, in-ceiling, or in-tile, to offer flexibility to integrators.
The demo system will be powered by the L-Acoustics LA7.16i amplified controller, offering 16 channels of 1300W into 8-ohms in an efficient 2U rack mount chassis. The front end of the system will showcase the new LC16D network converter, capable of 128 Milan AVB input/output channels and up to 80 MADI and AES/EBU channels, complete with embedded web interface management and a sleek 1U rack mount chassis.
Visitors to ISE can also see L-Acoustics latest professional products in the pro-audio-focused Hall 7, where there will be static displays of some of the latest products on booth 7F150. In addition to the two booths, L-Acoustics will have a demonstration space in Hall 8 at the ISE Sound Experiences where they will showcase the latest in audio technology.
