The free and complimentary Design and Specification Service (D&SS) from Meridian Audio now features a host of new upgrades thanks to recent advancements to The CEDIA Designer (TCD).
Thanks to the special collaboration between TCD and Meridian Audio in 2018, Meridian dealers can now get even more from the cinema design tool thanks to these upgrades.
Now live on the Meridian version of TCD, the new features include:
• Spanish language, EN English and US English PDF documentation
• Luxury living room designs with large format micro LED panels
• Custom front wide channel selection for high channel count designs
• Front L/C/R soundbar support
• Bass frequency seating guides
• Project progress
These new developments follow several other recently announced upgrades to TCD, including immersive virtual reality render capabilities and the introduction of Samsung’s The Wall, both of which are available to TCD and D&SS users at the Cinema Room Pro tier.
“These are exciting updates, it’s great to see the ongoing progression and constant commitment TCD has for this industry,” said Barry Sheldrick, director of sales at Meridian. “All of our products are fully integrated into this tool, providing our dealers with access to a Meridian-supported version of TCD that includes all valuable upgrades.
“These new implementations mean we can now provide additional features as part of our complimentary Design and Specification Service that will continue to improve and assist future projects. We hope these changes provide an even greater level of support for our dealers.”
Integrators should contact Meridian for their personal login details to begin this process, which will provide complimentary access to the exclusive Meridian TCD portal.
The cloud-based design tool will then produce a technically perfect home or cinema room design with full documentation, a scale rendering of the finished room, and a 3D CAD model.
The Meridian partnership takes the tool further with each CEDIA-approved D&SS pack featuring precise room layout and speaker positioning diagrams, detailed wiring diagrams, and comprehensive product information.
It will also show how Meridian components can interface with exisiting audio and video distribution systems as well as third party control systems.
There is also an additional option for integrators to use Meridian’s complimentary Design and Specification Service by providing a plan of the room, house, ir room dimensions, and emailing it to design@meridian.co.uk.
Meridian will then provide co-branded drawings of the proposed system layout and an associated wiring diagram as PDF files at no cost.
