Monitor Audio has acquired audio manufacturer Roksan, adding to the company's product portfolio.
Established in 1985, Roksan is a manufacturer of amplifiers, loudspeakers, turntables and streaming products which are designed and manufactured at their London headquarters.
With the launch of its premium Platinum II loudspeakers and the growth of its custom install series and other speaker ranges, Monitor Audio says the acquisition of Roksan reflects the success it has had in 2016.
The two companies will continue to run as separate entities but under common ownership.
HiddenWires caught up with a spokesperson from Monitor Audio who further explained the motivation behind the acquisition. “Both Monitor Audio and Roksan believe in the great synergy between the two brands. Both of companies' product lines marry very well – from a Monitor Audio perspective from the Silver Series upwards, as Roksan are known for their high end offerings,” they commented.
The representative added that as a small company of 17 people, Monitor Audio hope to help Roksan have a presence in territories that the manufacturer are not currently operating in through Monitor’s large distribution network and providing support ‘from every level.’ “One of the big aims going forward will be expanding their reach worldwide.”
“We bought Roksan because we recognised that there is potential for growth in all areas,” they concluded.
