Polk expands surround options with Signature E Series speakers

Polk has announced the Signature ‘E’ Series of speakers, the latest iteration of its Signature Series, consisting of floorstanding, centre and standmount options.

Technical updates across the range include redesigned drive units and crossover components, in addition to new-look crossover topology and bass tuning.

The 8-strong collection from Polk includes the S60e, S55e & S50e floorstanders and S35e & S30e centre speakers, rounded out by S20e, S15e and S10e.

Tower models feature 2.54cm Terylene tweeters, with varying mid/bass driver count and size – the S60e and S55e feature four units, while the S50e settles for three. Bookshelves options incorporate single 1-in Terylene tweeters, as well either 5.25-in or 6.5-in mid/bass drivers.

The six-driver S35e cuts the slimmest shape of the bunch at 4-in tall, with S30e larger in size due to its two-driver set-up. Both products combine a 1-in Terylene tweeter with polypropylene mid-bass drivers (3-in/S35e, 5.25-in/S30e).

Naturally, for a 5.1 package, a sub will have to be sourced from elsewhere.

The Polk Signature E Series will be released this month, available in white or black finishes.
