AudioControl’s Hyperion APR-16 becomes first HAA Link-certified home cinema processor

AudioControl has expanded its Hyperion APR-16 processor with support for HAA Link, becoming the first component certified by the Home Acoustics Alliance (HAA) to integrate the new calibration platform.

Designed for home cinemas, the 16-channel processor combines HAA Link acoustic optimisation tools with Dirac Live and Active Room Treatment (ART) for tuning flexibility.

HAA Link enables simultaneous measurement and adjustment of system performance through its CinemaTools companion app for Apple, reducing the need to switch between measurement software and processor menus during calibration.

The platform is intended to simplify standards-based tuning workflows while maintaining compliance with HAA methodologies.

The APR-16 itself was introduced as AudioControl’s flagship immersive processor, featuring 32-bit ESS Sabre DACs, 24-bit/192kHz sampling rate support, Dante/AES67 networking and extensive routing options for complex installations.

AudioControl says the processor was engineered from the outset to support advanced room correction technologies including Dirac ART, which uses multiple loudspeakers to address room acoustic issues and improve listening consistency.

The Hyperion APR-16 is available now, offering HAA Link as an optional upgrade to be implemented by trained calibration professionals.
