British wireless HiFi start-up Musaic has announced that it has been named a 2016 CES Innovation Awards Honoree. Musaic’s new PRO-MZP Professional Install Zone Player, due for release in 2016, has been recognised in the Home Audio/Video Components and Accessories category. The prestigious awards are judged by a panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers and members of the trade media to honour outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics products. Last year Musaic was named a 2015 CES Innovation Awards Honoree in the same category for its wireless Music Players, now available in the UK.

The Musaic PRO-MZP Professional Installation Zone Player is the first custom install product to combine the convenience and cost effectiveness of consumer multi-room with an extensive and carefully crafted set of features uniquely suitable for the professional installer. The PRO-MZP packages all the functionality from the start-up’s consumer wireless HiFi system, including compatibility with lighting systems and smart home features, into a form factor suitable for custom install. The PRO-MZP can be rack mounted, mounted in structured wiring cabinets or placed in a ceiling void, and is controlled via Musaic’s intuitive apps for iOS and Android. It offers high-resolution, high quality audio playback of music from phones and tablets, NAS drives and UPnP/DLNA servers as well as streaming services including Spotify, and access to more than 20,000 internet radio stations.
