Pulse-Eight, a manufacturer of AV distribution products, has announced the acquisition of loudspeaker producer, Gallo Acoustics.
The loudspeaker designer has a vast product range spanning applications in the custom install, smart home, commercial and hi-fi markets.
Instantly recognisable by its spherical design and vast range of colours, Gallo Acoustics takes a big focus on customer care and support and has won Best Trade Supplier awards and a nomination for a third at the upcoming CEDIA EMEA Awards in October.
“I’m extremely excited to welcome Gallo Acoustics into the fold,” said Martin Ellis, Pulse-Eight’s CEO. “I’ve long held a desire to add a speaker brand to our portfolio, enhancing our pro-audio credentials and further boosting our investment in UK-based engineering. The acquisition of a dynamic, industry recognised speaker brand and engineering team will help fuel our growth and expertise.”
David Baxter, CEO of Gallo Acoustics added: “From our very earliest discussions with Pulse-Eight, we were impressed by the laser-focused commitment to quality and engineering excellence exhibited by Martin and his team. Joining the Pulse-Eight family provides Gallo Acoustics with the perfect platform from which to expand our product range and meet the global aspirations we have always had for our brand; we couldn’t be more excited.”
The acquisition means that Baxter, current CEO of Gallo Acoustics, will become design director of the expanded Pulse-Eight group, while Colin Urie, current commercial director of Gallo Acoustics, will take up the role of group commercial director.
Gallo Acoustics will continue to operate from its current headquarters in Lanark, Scotland.
