Training and networking event coming to Bangalore this May

CEDIA will host a 3-day training and networking event Bangalore, India as home technology adoption continues to grow in the local market.

Taking place from Tuesday 22 May to Friday 25 May, 2018 at the Hilton Bangalore Embassy Hotel, the event will incorporate manufacturer product training and CEDIA education to ensure attendees leave fully informed on the latest and upcoming developments in the residential industry.

CEDIA will be taking experienced instructors Guy Singleton and Geoff Meads to Bangalore to present the training sessions.

Guy Singleton, a highly respected, international expert has been designing and installing awarding winning luxury theatres for nearly 20 years.

Supporting Guy is Geoff Meads, a twenty-five year veteran of the AV business who owns and runs Presto, an online marketing agency dedicated to the smart home market. A knowledgeable speaker on both technical and business subjects, Meads also heads up the CEDIA EMEA Awards judging panel.

Day 1 of the event will offer attendees the opportunity to attend manufacturer product training sessions, hosted by event sponsors, Artnovion, Crestron, Lutron, and Lyngdorf Audio.

The schedule will be as follows:

10am – 1pm Lyngdorf Audio – ‘Technology with a Purpose’
2 – 3pm Lutron – ‘Lighting Controls: Acceptable vs Exceptional’
3.15 – 4.15pm Artnovion – ‘Introduction to Artnovion Acoustics’
4.30 – 5.30pm Crestron – ‘Crestron Audio for Homes’

Following the first day of training, CEDIA will host a ‘Connect with CEDIA’ networking event (sponsored by Lutron). Running from 6 – 7.30 pm, the session provides new, prospective, and existing members with the chance to network with representatives and industry peers within the organisation.

From Wednesday 23 to Friday 25 May, visitors will be able to attend up to three CEDIA Training sessions – including Home Cinema Design, Essential Maths & Science of Cables and Connections, Essential AV, RF, HDMI, and Home Cinema Skills, Wired & Wireless Networking Fundamentals, and Residential Lighting Control. There will also be the opportunity to sit a CEDIA Certification Exam on the last day.
