Airzone has announced a new partnership with Samsung to bring HVAC control and zoning solutions to the SmartThings connected living ecosystem for smart homes.
The partnership will allow HVAC units from any leading manufacturer to be connected to SmartThings, bringing simplicity, control and efficiency to smart homes.
With HVAC being one of the higher energy users in the home, the SmartThings platform can help consumers to control their energy costs and reduce their carbon footprint by facilitating monitoring of HVAC usage. Airzone’s line of after-market control devices connect directly to a HVAC unit which turns it into a smart device. This can now be operated via the SmartThings platform.

Airzone’s Aidoo HVAC controller works with multiple Inverter/VRF brands, including Samsung, Mitsubishi, Daikin, and more.
As part of its collaboration with SmartThings, three Aidoo HVAC control products are now Works with SmartThings certified: Aidoo Pro, Aidoo Wi-Fi and Aidoo Pro Fancoil.
The Aidoo Pro is Airzone’s flagship control device that allows integration between the latest Inverter, VRF, mini-split, and multi-split HVAC units and third-party IoT devices, including smart thermostats and home automation systems.
Airzone’s Aidoo Wi-Fi is a control device that enables voice- or app-based HVAC control of Inverter/VRF units. If consumers want to use the original manufacturer’s thermostat but still connect to SmartThings, Aidoo Wi-Fi is the only thing needed.
The Aidoo Pro Fancoil is an Aidoo control device enabling app-based control of legacy fancoil units.
Airzone also offers zoning control solutions for greater efficiency and room-by-room temperature control. The Works with SmartThings-certified Webserver HUB and Webserver Cloud enables total control of sensors, thermostats and up to 32 separate zoned HVAC units.
With the Aidoo control and Webserver zoning solutions, users can monitor and control their home’s HVAC systems from anywhere using the SmartThings app. Two-way communication between HVAC units and SmartThings automation experiences are also enabled thanks to these devices.
