Focal has unveiled a new Atelier specialising in the production of artisanal audio products.
Focal Crafts is said to be a “creative laboratory” for applied arts and high-fidelity engineering, located beside the company’s production workshops in Saint-Étienne, France.
In its first chapter, Focal introduces 13 pairs of Utopia loudspeakers hand-covered in patinated leather.
The Opus N°1 line explores the unique shades and reflections of the living material, accompanied by nesting tables and a Bathys hifi headphone.
The Atelier aims to deliver collector’s items for aesthetes and passionate music lovers.
Focal is recognised as a Living Heritage Company and a member of the Comité Colbert, a French association promoting the luxury goods industry.
