Next-gen AURO-3D technology to bring ‘studio-quality streaming to listeners everywhere’ on AuroMasters platform

Goer Dynamics has announced that its latest streaming codec is powering a newly launched streaming platform for immersive audio.

Described on its website as “the world's first immersive music jukebox”, Auromasters leverages AURO-CX with Adaptive Bitrate (ABR) mode to deliver high-res performance on both high-speed connections and fluctuating bandwidths.

It’s based on a principle of adaption rather than downscaling and can be experienced through a set-top box and immersive speaker setup, compatible with AURO-3D or Dolby Atmos.

Wilfried Van Baelen, CEO and founder of AuroMasters, said: “We are realising a long-standing dream: bringing immersive music in studio-quality directly to listeners everywhere.

“By combining AURO-3D with its next-generation streaming, we can finally deliver immersive music as artists intended to everyone while introducing a business model that brings fans and creators closer together.”

Powered by AURO-3D’s immersive audio engine, AuroMasters brings AURO-CX adaptive bitrate technology to high-resolution music streaming for the first time after it was previously only used in video.

Rudy Van Duppen, CEO of Goer Dynamics, added: “Our new adaptive bit-rate technology AURO-CX, built on the 20-year legacy of AURO-3D, ensures that listeners can enjoy immersive music streamed in the highest possible quality, delivered seamlessly across devices and networks.”

Users can explore the platform’s catalogue through free previews before unlocking full tracks via a credit system, while artists benefit from a distribution model that aims to balance music streaming economics.

AuroMasters is available initially in Europe, the UK, the USA and Japan from the App Store, Google Play or Android TV.
